Sketch competition

In 2016 JOE Latvia has successfully proved itself by participating in sketch competition - “Development of the Unity Square in Cesis”.

The 'Unity Square' is the symbolic centre of the city of Cesis, formed by a pre-field with the 'Uzvara' Monument and the green zone. Both of these areas are insufficiently linked, so they are not perceived as a one set. A design contest was organised to provide of public outdoors and its facilities in Unit Square, creating it as a unique urban area and creating an aesthetic central area of the city. The task included particularly artistically, architectural and landscape elements designed in a historical style, based on the planning of the city, while providing an aesthetic and well-designed environment for city residents and guests.
